2004 GOVERNOR'S AWARD

Most recently, Patco was awarded with the 2004 Governor's Award for Business Excellence. Implemented in 1991, the Governor's Award for Business Excellence has been presented to 81 Maine businesses.

In March, Gov. John E. Baldacci presented the 2004 Governor's Award for Business Excellence to six Maine companies during ceremonies at the 53 rd Annual Colby Institute for Leadership at Colby College.

"Each of these companies are to be congratulated for demonstrating a consistently high level of commitment to their community, to their employees and to manufacturing or service excellence," Gov. Baldacci said. "Maine citizens should be proud of what these companies have accomplished. They are to be congratulated being a vital component of our state's business community."

The Governor's Award for Business Excellence is distinguished from other business awards because recipients must not only demonstrate success in how they operate their business, but also show a commitment to their employees and the communities in which they are located.

VP Builders Hall of Fame

VP Buildings, Inc., based in Memphis Tennessee, is a world leader in the manufacture of pre-engineered building systems. Every Year VP hosts a Hall of Fame competition created to recognize outstanding facilities constructed by VP Contractors like PATCO Construction.

With the backing of VP's advanced design capability and quality products, PATCO has been recognized for providing superior construction service to building owners and architects. The Hall of Fame honor is awarded on the basis of excellence in design, craftsmanship and construction.
